Building a Kitchen Garden Gardening Tips and Tricks

Making my own propagators

Propagators are expensive if you need many. Most of the ones I’ve tried only last a few years. I also sometimes want to sow in larger pots to save myself some hours when transplanting gets intense in march.

That’s why I’m making my own sturdy propagators.

Super simple. You just need plastic boxes with a lid, and a drill. (Use a wooden drill to avoid the plastic cracking.) I use this kind of box.

Drill 5mm holes all around the upper side.

Done!
